PC036 Political Contessa Policy, Prayer, and Pound Cake with Dee Dee Bass Wilbon and Deana Bass Williams

Dee Dee Bass Wilbon and Deana Bass Williams are sisters; co-authors of Prayer and Pound Cake, a how-to guide on thriving and surviving in your own business; and hosts of the podcast Policy and Pound Cake.

Today, the Bass Sisters join me to discuss the issues we hear about all the time in the news that impact our daily lives. We talk about the hypocrisy of the far left and the importance of bringing people back to the basics of right and wrong. They share their strategies for avoiding selective outrage and share why it’s okay to tell someone when they’re doing something wrong. We talk about the importance of earning your fortune, discuss why college is not for everyone and that’s okay, and talk about various solutions to the college debt problem. We share our thoughts on transgender issues, and the Bass Sisters emphasize that they won’t be bullied into professing and celebrating what they don’t think is true.

“When someone is doing something wrong or speaking out of turn, you have to tell them that’s not how it’s done and that’s not how you behave--whether it’s our friends on the right or our friends on the left.”

“I don’t need you to celebrate me…we just want you to hear us and respect us. The left doesn’t want respect anymore. We must wear their banners, champion their causes.”
